The Qatar Press Center invites journalists and media professionals to publish their writings

The Qatar Press Center invites all journalistic writers, media professionals and media workers in Qatar who wish to publish their works to contact it, as part of the Centre’s vision aimed at enriching journalistic and media content, and within the framework of its efforts to support journalists and media professionals.

The invitation includes journalists, article writers, and researchers in the fields of journalism and media, investigative journalism, investigative journalism, cartoonists, photojournalists, and others, provided that applicants are Qataris or residents of the State of Qatar.

Mr. Sadiq Mohammed Al-Ammari, Director General, said: “We at the Qatar Press Center are pleased to encourage all journalists, media professionals and researchers from various journalistic fields in the State of Qatar to submit their work to the Center, and to discuss the possibility of issuing and printing it, in a way that contributes to disseminating the Center’s message and vision and consolidating its role in the media scene.”

He added: “Journalists and media professionals are often busy in their daily work and in following up on news and events and covering them, in accordance with the daily time and effort required by the profession of journalism and media, especially in light of the rapid developments we are experiencing today, without paying attention to collecting their work, articles, or investigations.” What they do and publish them in a book, for many reasons, including lack of time or the lack of an entity to cover printing expenses, and also questions about the feasibility of issuing books in light of the great influence of social media.”

He said: "Here comes the role of the center to fill this gap, both in documenting journalistic and media content, and emphasizing the importance of the book in the journalistic and media field, as well as the importance of the book for researchers, public opinion, and emerging youth groups."

August 2024.”

It is worth noting that this invitation comes after the interest that the Center received after publishing a number of books and participating in the activities of the 33rd session of the Doha International Book Fair, where the Center issued a variety of books, most notably “The World Cup Feather,” which includes the caricature works published by Qatari newspapers on the occasion of hosting Qatar. Qatar, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the book “The Legacy of the World Cup: Pictures from the Heart of the Event,” which is the first work by a group of professional photographers from Qatar, the Gulf, and the world, which includes snapshots of decisive moments in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the book “Sunday Morning - Part Three.”

Which includes articles by the writer and journalist, Mr. Mubarak bin Jaham Al-Kuwari, in addition to the book “On the Saif of the East” by Mr. Sultan Al-Jassim, which is an album of rare photos of prominent sporting and local events during the fifties and sixties, in addition to other publications that will see the light soon, God willing.
